Well for people who want to play with real people: Find a warm and active Guild, with guild members always ready to help you an/or do stuff with you (missions, quests)

I just love the heroes, I can finally do stuff like Thirsty River now without trying to find a party for 3 hours, and after that failing miserably.

welcome to the european servers,
where the only way to play for a LONG LONG LONG time is to take 7 henchies and hope for the best.

imo i am happy that anet changed the Ai, because it means that i don't die of degen so often which is just embrassing.

Has anyone considered that everyone is now playing with hero's because ist is .. New/hot and because there is something to gain (i.e. leveling them)

When the novelty wears off and the hero's are all leveled and equipped i am sure that many people will be looking for groups again.

why level and equip them if you're not going to use them

I'm sure this will happen eventually, for the people who like playing in PuGs. Myself, I kind of like the fact that I can take a decent hero team into SF without getting kicked from teams that are just oro farming, or take my heros into ToPK even though I'm not set up for B/P. Too many groups were EXTREMELY exclusive of the people they invited, and henchies were flat-out stupid. (Although they still had their moments)

I plan on playing through Nightfall with all my characters using heros, or duoing with a RL friend using both of our heros. I doubt I'll ever join a PuG again.

You do have a choice now, play with friends, solo, with henchies and now you can throw in some heros as well.

I keep seeing all these people complaining about the new system and saying there is not enough people now "LFG..." does that mean they are no longer LFG ing or that they go out with heros or friends? All of those complaining about it should set up their own guild or something!

I like the heros, sometimes when I'm online, none of my guildies are so I bring my heros out to play. I don't want to be hanging around in towns asking people to join me and then spending ages chatting about how much I like his or that! I want to get in there and kill stuff! or just get on with the mission at some point in the next half hour!

I want to play the game and not interact with everyone in it! I have my guildies for conversation.

Casual gamers will like the heros, since it now means they can load the game, load their heros and go out questing! Not hanging around in towns to find the next group going to do their quest.

I still see plenty of people LFG... so not really seen too much of an impact there. The guild I'm in also takes pugs if it is not a full guild run.

I think Olias and the rest of the heros are bery good once you have them set right! Olias set as MM or SS, his work rate is far higher than a humans! He can raise minions and keep them alive so well. I'm sure he gets the full 100% HCR and HCT, as he raises minions in no time whatsoever and his next one is up well before the normal recharge?

It all comes down to what people like! I like the heros system, you don't! Is ANET wrong? I don't think so, it is your choice to use heros or not, to take henchies or not, to hang around in towns asking others to join you or not!

For everyone that does not like the new system there are others that do.

For me, I would rather ANET put some time into sorting out the crappy lag we are getting and the number of err 007.

The game is too easy now...at any stage of the missions. This is what happens when you try to please everyone. For all those who complained about missions being too difficult before, there were an equal number who liked the game the way it was. Did the AI on the henchmen suck? Of course it did, but all AI sucks, this is why I personally don't play first person shooter games...they are too easy. PEOPLE are what makes games interesting and challenging...you just never know what they are going to do...good or bad. So, IMO, heroes have basically ruined what many found great about GW. I won't even get started about heroes in gvg and HA...that is just absolutely ridiculous since this is the PVP section of the game. PUG groups have been drastically reduced, when Prophecies came out and you made it to a mission area, the towns were full of LFG spam, it didn't take long to get into a group and it was far more entertaining than running with heroes/henches. Maybe soon we can have guildies that are only NPC's and they can even chat in green text!

nightfall actually made me enjoy pve more. i'm so happy that i can forever avoid pugs. it's a dream come true. paradoxally, pvp (heroes ascent) became a bit too much like pve... but i can live with that as long as i can relax and pve without annoying idiots

the greatest challenge for the most part that I've had in NF is starting a brand new dervish or paragon with no high-end gear to give them and starter skills, and starting the game with low-level heroes/henches.

Compared to bringing in my established toons, where I can outfit them as boss soloers and letting the heroes/henches clear areas and leaving just the boss for me

hey it's a change.....

And that is a bad thing? Personally, pugging only reminds me why I love guildies/henchies so much.
